However, four years ago, we stumbled upon an exceptional gem called "Make Your Mark" - a vacation destination that has truly exceeded all our expectations.
"Make Your Mark" is not just a beautiful house; it offers both functionality and spaciousness, making it an ideal spot for our group of five families, comprising adults and children aged between 5 to 18 years. We had 12 adults, 12 kids and 2 infants stay for a week in June 2023. We came from more than five states and wanted a place for our family reunion. This checked every box, and was absolutely wonderful! Amanda took care of us from the very beginning. She answered every question we had and was quick to respond. First off, the location was perfect. Truly beach front and walk out to the sand any time you wanted to! We enjoyed being minutes from several grocery stores so we could cook in the house all week. We also enjoyed mini golf and the ice cream shop just down the road. We loved the sand and the waves, and the walk out convenience to the beach can't be beat! We had babies napping and needed this seamless access. Showers to wash off your feet and a pool that was elevated on the second level so your sight line goes directly out to the ocean. The water was clear and beautiful. Some strong waves when we were there, but it didn't ruin our stay. What made us decide on this house over any other was the fact that every single bedroom had a KING bed and an adjacent bathroom. Six bedrooms with connected bathrooms! Just perfect! This was a MUST for us, as we wanted every one of our children and their spouse to feel the luxury of having their own space. We utilized the grill, washing machines, refrigerators, pool table, TVs, outdoor swings, and game room several times. Amanda went the extra mile to provide a pack-n-play, crib and high chairs for our young ones. We loved the home decor and it was so comfortable and clean. We felt at home the entire time. We enjoyed being under one roof and every level had two bedrooms. Quiet dark rooms downstairs, easy access rooms on the main floor, and the media, kids room, and two rooms upstairs with the best views! The kids loved the big bunk room and media room with another bathroom. They felt so grown up and tons of kids fit in those beds! So much room to spread out. Most of all, we had a perfect spot to play games and make memories together. We loved every minute! Thank you! read less

We had 9... read moreMy family just finished a week at Make Your Mark and what a fabulous week it was. We had 9 adults and 7 kids and the space accommodated us perfectly. This was our second year in a row and we have already booked next year. The property is very well maintained and has all the “bells and whistles “. Ownership is very accessible and responds timely to all communication. Private beach access, a pool , immaculate house - it is hands down our favorite family vacation spot. read less

The house is amazing for... read moreJust returned from our second family vaca at Make Your Mark in Panama City beach. The house is amazing for a large family or friend group! Plenty of room for everyone to have their space, or be all together. Furnishings are impeccable and kitchen has all you could want for meals and snacks. We loved the covered outdoor area by pool for relaxing and getting some shade after a day on the beach and in the pool. Great game spaces in basement and upstairs for kids. Our grands adored the bunk room and living space outside of it where they could watch movies or play games. The beach is pristine and water crystal clear. We plan to come back many more times! The owners/hosts are wonderful to work with and very responsive. read less

Our group of 20 ranged from 10 months... read moreWe returned to Make Your Mark after an excellent experience in 2021. Our group of 20 ranged from 10 months to age 70. There is plenty of room for everyone and the main living area and pool deck is outstanding. Cribs were available for the little ones. I recommend the add on elevator to assist with arrival and departure matters. Although there were several red flag days, we felt very safe and noticed beach safety personnel on land, sea and air informing us of beach conditions. The swings and hammock, which were not there in 2021, were enjoyed by all, as was the family cocktail party at the Tiki bar. Any needed communications with the owner were handled immediately and effectively via text message or email. On the last day, my spouse dropped a pearl earring on the floor. We looked and looked for it to no avail. We informed Amanda and her people found it the next day and will return to us via mail. Outstanding Service! We plan to return.

There are many things we could rave about: 3 refrigerators, two kitchen sink areas, 7 ensuites, 2 washer and dryer sets, gorgeous views, sparsely populated beach, 2 outdoor showers, rec room with pool and foosball tables, clean, relatively new construction. We didn't like the location due to noise. We heard the traffic behind us all day and into the night - lots of motorcycle and dune buggies due to rental places just a block down. Large party houses nearby. The Saturday night of our arrival there were 3 weddings on the beach 2 one one side and 1 on the other. One after party had a DJ who played music loudly from 5 pm to 11 pm, when we finally called beach patrol for some peace and quiet. The number of dishes and quality of the pots an pans is an issue. There was no stock pot and only one each of larger and medium pots! If we had, had 20 people there, there would not have been enough pots, plates or silverware to serve a single meal and certainly, one dishwasher would not have been enough either. The multitude of frying pans didn't matter since they were all scraped up. We were glad there was a small rice cooker because we didn't have enough of the right size of pots. In general, the kitchen would benefit from $300 on plates, silverware and pots & pans. The outdoor table in the main level pool area is only large enough for six people but has only 4 chairs. Other furniture on the pool deck were sofas and chaise lounges - no chairs to move but the large inside chairs. We would have eaten dinner on the pool deck if there had been more seating and a larger table. Our biggest complaint (it is a law there is no getting around it,) is the door to the pool deck from the main floor is set to alarm within 3 seconds if you don't push a button on the wall before you exit; even when you do, you can't leave the door open more than 12 seconds. To go outside on that level you have to push the button and scurry through. The alarm is ungodly loud. More than two people with a hand full of something is all who can get through unless someone else stands by the button and keeps pushing it. So, there is NO FLOW between deck and main floor. It made taking dinner outside even more of a big deal. With beautiful October weather, it was a huge drag: we normally turn AC off and open the door. None of the windows open, so if you want fresh air, you have to stay on the first and third floors, beachside only. read less

The street out front can be a little loud, but nothing that kept us up at night. I wish the property had beach chairs, towels and bikes for guest use. Other homes we rented have all had those amenities.

Plenty of room for our family of 24. We really enjoyed the pool and patio area, where we spent a great deal of our time. We loved the easy access to the ocean where they logged in many hours of boogie boarding and sand castle building. We had a wonderful time, and have many family memories that will be with us forever. We had one unfortunate incident, as the arms of the chase lounges were broke. We noticed on day one all but 2 of the 6 were broken and were careful when using, but unfortunately my wife, went to get out of the chair and the arm slipped and the metal went through her hand. She had to take her to the Immediate Care and she received 4 stitches. We contacted the Mgmt Company immediately and someone did come out to the house, but she seemed more worried about the Internet being out (which never did work from Wednesday on) than my wife's injury. We showed her the broken chairs and feel like a screw driver could have fixed them. We expected someone from maintenance to come out but that didn't happen so we had to be overly cautious with the kids to make sure that no one else was injured on the chairs. Unfortunately after the accident, my wife did not have the ocean/pool enjoyment with the grandkids as she had hopped. Incident report was sent on Sunday once we returned home and to this date we have not been contacted by anyone, which we were told would happen after the incident report was submitted. read less

It was also well stocked with everything you need, game room was a wonderful bonus, pool was perfect especially for the few double red flag days, house was so well designed kids could stay up late without keeping the entire house awake. Highly recommend this house. We had an amazing time. We did see a few people being saved from a rip tide, welcome book warns you and tells you how to get out of them. Again amazing house!!!! read less
